Fall Yard Waste Pick Up:
November 4 and November 18 beginning at 6:00AM John’s Disposal will pick up yard waste placed on at the road in clear or compostable bags on our Shorewood Hills/Monday garbage route only. Yard waste includes leaves, grass, sticks, pumpkins, corn stalks, and similar items. John’s will also take bundled branches 4 ft. in length and less than 8” in diameter. Residents are encouraged to use this service as an alternative to burning whenever possible. If you need to burn yard waste, PLEASE be mindful of the conditions, and be courteous to your neighbors. Notify the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office and the Town Clerk of your intended controlled burn.
Agendas and minutes for the following will be available at http://www.townoflakemills.org/meeting-repository.
November 14, 2017 a Public Hearing and Special Meeting of Electors will be held at 7:30PM at Town Hall. The public hearing is to discuss the Town’s proposed 2018 budget. -There is not an election happening here on Tuesday. There are some local elections happening around the state, but the Town of Lake Mills is not affected.
-Each year a letter is included in your tax bill providing information you can use all year, including dates of yard waste pick up, board and committee meetings and elections, and details on a variety of services available in the Town. This letter is also on our website at the bottom of the home page. Take a look!
