Deputy Clerk for Elections

The Town of Lake Mills is seeking applicants for a seasonal Deputy Clerk to assist the elected Town Clerk with all aspects of elections. Duties and responsibilities may include, and are not limited to: poll worker recruitment and training, WisVote database maintenance, handle absentee ballot requests, order election supplies, test and maintain voting machines, answer questions from residents regarding the election process, post-election reconciliation, reporting and filing, and various election duties as assigned.

The successful applicant will have excellent work ethic and customer service skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office products, comfort using computer technology, and the ability to have a flexible schedule. Knowledge of election processes preferred, but not required. Training is available and may be required. The hourly wage is $15. Hours needed to administer an election will vary. Expect between two and four scheduled elections per calendar year.

The location of the polling place for all Town of Lake Mills wards is

Town Hall, 1111 S. Main Street, Lake Mills. 

Polls are open 7am - 8pm.

Registered voters may request an absentee ballot for any or all of the elections in a calendar year by filing an Absentee Ballot Request form with the Town Clerk.  See links to this form below.

New Town voters should file a Voter Registration Application as soon as possible.  See links to this form below.
