Currently the Town of Lake Mills is conducting routine winter maintenance in the Town’s road right of ways throughout the municipality for the next several weeks as weather allows. This includes trimming and clearing of brush, tree limbs and dead trees that are hazardous to vehicular and pedstrian traffic, or prohibit effective snow removal, for the safety of all citizens, businesses and contactors that operate in the area.
Under Wis. Stat. § 66.1037(1), towns have the authority to remove, cut, or trim any tree, shrub, or
other vegetation (within the road right of way) in order to provide safety to highway users.
Any questions should be brought before the Town Board at a regular monthly meeting.
